Bezdziez is mentioned in the 15th century as "Bezdež Parish", as part of the Zdítov Parish. In 1409 Grand Duke Witowt gave Bezdeż parish to the Church of the Mother of God in Troki. In 1495 Bezdeż is mentioned in the gift harmony of the Minsk princess Maria Semyonova Aleksandrovna and her son Prince Vasily Semeonovich to the Pinsk viceroy Furs Ivanovich.
In documents from 1517 to the 18th century, the Bezdež estate owned by the canons of the church in Troki is mentioned. In 1561-66 Bezdež received town rights. In 1622 the Bezdež church was mentioned. Until 1744 a Roman Catholic parish was established.
In August–September 1771, near Bezdež there was a heavy battle between the Bar confederates under the command of Hetman M.K. Oginsky and detachments of Russian troops of A.A. Albishav.
In the "Historical Lithuanian Archives" there are metric books from 1700 to 1801, confirming that a church was already functioning there at that time. The parish of Bezdziez is also mentioned in the list of Christian Catholic settlements of 1726.
The current Holy Trinity Church was built in 1784 on the foundations of a 17th-century Uniate church which had burned down (according to other sources — in 1818). It was originally a Uniate church. This is confirmed by records of Uniate priests who served here until 1839:
Nowicki Kazimierz, saint of the tsars church in Bezdzež, Pinsk poviat. 02.10.1785.
Markovskiy Konstantin, church servant in the town of Bezdzež, Kobrynsky district. 03.12.1819.
Ivan Ivanovich, *1804, vicar of the church in Bezdzež, 1836–1837.
Mihalevich Vasily, *1798, priest of the church in Bezdzež, 1832–1837.
Copies of metrical Uniate books from 1823 are available on the FamilySearch website.
In the book "Descriptions of churches and parishes. Grodno Orthodox Church Calendar. Volume 1" (1899) there is a description of the Holy Trinity Church in Bezdzież.
During the II Rzeczpospolita (1918–1939) maps show both the church and the parish.
At present the church is in satisfactory condition.
