In written sources, Hutowo is mentioned as a village in the Pinsk Principality. In 1502, in a deed of gift from Prince Fiodor Iwanowicz Jaroslawicz of Pinsk and Princess Alena to the Cathedral of St. Demetrius in Pinsk:
The people of Hutowo from the Pinsk region must pay the church 80 kopecks every year
From the 16th to 18th centuries, it was located in the Pinsk district of the Brest Voivodeship of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. In 1712, a church was mentioned, which was described in an article here.

In 1858, the village of Hutowo, in the Worocewicze volost, Kobryn district. The center of the rural community. There were 435 registered souls (state peasants), a church, and a public school. From 1921 to 1939, it was part of Poland, a village in the Worocewicze gmina, Drohiczyn district, Polesie Voivodeship. In 1921, there were 74 households and 323 inhabitants. The village on the German military map KdWr:

Since 1939, it has been part of the Belarus SSR, and since January 15, 1940, it has been part of the Drohiczyn District, Pinsk Region. As of October 12, 1940, there were 171 households and 781 residents in the village, which was part of the Ogdemer Village Council. The village is also marked on the Red Army map:
During the Great Patriotic War in 1942, German occupiers shot 45 residents of the village, and 21 residents of the village died at the front. Since July 16, 1954, it has been the center of the Hutowo village council, Drohiczyn district, Brest region. In 1960, there were 802 residents, in 1970 - 672 residents, the center of the “Flag of Lenin” collective farm. In 1995 - 196 households and 499 residents.
