Village Mieniewiez

In 1858, the village was the center of the village community of Ziolow volost, Kobryn district, Grodno province, part of the Derewna estate, landowners of the Zawadski family. There were 144 inhabitants. In 1890 the community had 353 tithes of land, of which 177 were usable. In 1905 there were 310 inhabitants in the village and 12 in the folvark. Again return to the archive RGIA, F. 796 Op. 169 D. 1060, extreme dates: 1888, mentioning the inhabitants of our village:

On the petition of the commissioners of the peasants of the village of Mieniewiez Kobryn uyezd, Grodno province, peasants Nikolai Galuc and Andrei Tarasiuk on the transfer of the village from Detkowicze parish to the village parish.

From 1921 to 1939 in Poland. In Ziolow commune, Kobryn district, Poleskie voivodeship. In 1921 there were 21 courtyards and 156 inhabitants. In 1930 there were 47 courtyards and a Polish elementary school. The village is on the Polish map WIG:

From 1939 in the BSSR, from 15.01.1940 in Antopol district, Brest region. Since 12.10.1940 in Detkowicze village council, 285 inhabitants. The village is on the Red Army map:

In the Great Patriotic War 9 inhabitants of the village died, 7 at the front. From 08.08.1959 in Drohiczyn district, 263 inhabitants, in 1995 - 56 households and 92 inhabitants.
