As we can see on Schubert’s map of 1826-1840, our settlement is not yet present:
But it already exists on the military topographical map of the Russian Empire 1846-1863:
In the RGIA archive there are documents mentioning our colony and Popina estate. The first worth mentioning is F. 899 Op. 1 S. 468, extreme dates: 1913.
Lease agreement and sale record, concluded by gr. Bobrynska (née Polowcewa) N.A. Bobrynska (née Polowcewa) with Zuk I.B. on the estate of the latter Popina Kobryn u. Grodno province.
Also the following record, F. 899 Op. 1 S. 469, extreme dates: 1914.
Power of attorney given by gr. Bobrynska (née Polowcewa) N.A. Morenschild B.F. to conduct business on the acquisition of the estate of Popina, Kobryn district, Grodno province, from Zuk I.B. Grodno province. Kobryn u. Grodno province.
There is also 3 record but already mentioning both the estate and Popina. F. 899 Op. 1 Д. 517, extreme dates: 1891 - 1917.

From 1921 to 1939 it was part of Poland and was established as a village in 1930 on the site of the former Popina colony, which was renamed Nowa Popina. In 1939 there were 119 households and 595 inhabitants in Popina colony. The village is on the Polish WIG map:
Since 1939 it was a part of the BSSR. During the Great Patriotic War 7 inhabitants of the village died. The village on the map of the Red Army:

In 1950 the Oktiabsky MTS was founded. In 1970 the village Novaya Popina had 541 inhabitants. In 1995, 292 yards and 984 inhabitants.
